Due to Covid regulations, the ceremony to mark Remembrance Sunday usually attended by Van Community Council could not be held this year.
However, the Chair, Cllr Tony Graham and Cllrs Norma Graham and Sheila Jones, paid their respects in private and laid a wreath on behalf of Van Community Council at the cenotaph this afternoon
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
